SVENSKA KRAFTNÄT Svenska Kraftnät is a state utility which was established on 1 January 1992. The company administers and runs the national electrical grid which in total consists of approximately 15,000 kilometres of 200 kV and 400 kV lines plus installations, interconnectors to neighbouring countries, and IT systems. ![]() Svenska Kraftnät has around 270 employees, the majority of whom work at our head office at Vällingby, Stockholm. We also have offices at Sundsvall, Sollefteå and Halmstad, as well as a training centre for linesmen on civil duty at Åsbro. Svenska Kraftnät provides employment for hundreds more people via contract work on the operation and maintenance of the grid all across the country. A GOALART PROJECT WITH SVENSKA KRAFTNÄT In 2005, GoalArt performed a pilot project with Svenska Kraftnät. The project showed that GoalArt's method could handle the Swedish blackout of Sep 23, 2003 and provide a correct root cause analysis from the first minutes of the event. A GoalArt system was installed on-line in the Swedish control center in January 2009 and has been monitoring the Swedish power grid since then.
