SVENSKA KRAFTNÄT Svenska Kraftnät is a state utility which was established on 1 January 1992. The company administers and runs the national electrical grid which in total consists of approximately 15,000 kilometres of 200 kV and 400 kV lines plus installations, interconnectors to neighbouring countries, and IT systems.  Svenska Kraftnät has around 270 employees, the majority of whom work at our head office at Vällingby, Stockholm. We also have offices at Sundsvall, Sollefteå and Halmstad, as well as a training centre for linesmen on civil duty at Åsbro. Svenska Kraftnät provides employment for hundreds more people via contract work on the operation and maintenance of the grid all across the country. A GOALART PROJECT WITH SVENSKA KRAFTNÄT In the autumn 2005, GoalArt started a project with Svenska Kraftnät. The aim of the project is to investigate how GoalArt's methods for root cause analysis and alarm reduction can help to handle complex alarm situations on the power grid. The pilot showed that GoalArt's method could handle the Swedish blackout of Sep 23, 2003 and provide a correct root cause analysifrom the first minutes of the event. The project is currently continuing with a commercial delivery of a GoalArt system for the SvK control center in Stockholm.
