OKG AB was founded on July 14, 1965 and has been a subsidiary of Sydkraft AB since January 1, 1993. The company is owned by three energy groups, two of them are Swedish and one is Finnish. Sydkraft owns 54.5%, Birka Energi 35.5%, and Fortum Kraft 10% of OKG.

A GOALART PROJECT WITH OKG
In 2002, GoalArt performed a project with Barsebäck, Oskarshamn, Ringhals, and IFE Halden. Root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority were succesfully tested and evaluated.

From 2005, GoalArt is a subcontractor to IFE Halden in a joint research project with Forsmark, Oskarshamn, and Ringhals in Sweden, and Loviisa and Olkiluoto in Finland. This project aims at full-scale implementation of root cause analysis and state-based alarm priority for the Hambo simulator, which is based on the Forsmark 3 unit. Modeling and software integration will be finished in the summer of 2006, followed by HMI design and user tests with operator crews from all participating plants in 2006-2007.
